An exciting new chapter for La Basketry...

Providing a platform to showcase handcrafted Senegalese crafts with the world and generate regular employment for their artisans has been at the heart of our business since our launch last May.

Our first love will always be baskets but over the past year, we've come across more and more artisans and crafts that we love and that will too. 

Saying that, we're going to be introducing new products for your home - all still handmade by local artisans. 

First up - hand loom weaving has been carried on in Africa since ancient times so we'll be adding a small selection of textiles woven with double heddle looms in Thies, east of Dakar and where a lot of family still reside.
