A basketful of inspiration: January
Welcome to our monthly round-up of some of the things our founder, Tabara, has found most inspiring this month...
An inspiring read: Barack Obama, A Promised Land
What a book! I find the insights into the life of the former US President so intriguing. It's not often you get to take a glimpse behind the walls of the White House.
You get to hear what it was like to be President, as well as what Obama's life was like before that historic moment —how he met Michelle, going through the campaign— it's so captivating.
Inspiring real change: The Spill
Founded just this month by two of my closest friends, Jennifer Hakim and Chourouk Gorrab, The Spill "is an online publication on a mission to take up space."
Born from a true belief in diversity, inclusion and fair representation, you'll find content spanning all manner of topics, from politics to art to culture, life experiences and more, told from the voices of the underrepresented groups in our society.
It's a fantastic space where everyone is welcome, and every voice is heard. Here're some great reads to start with:

Home inspiration: Mafalda Vasconcelos' art
Did you catch my recent Instagram post, where I mentioned my love for Mafalda Vasconcelos' artwork? The piece in question was a belated birthday present that's made a home for itself in my new living room.
Her work explores the "different cultural influences" in her life, and I find her style so encapsulating.
