50 Shades of Pink: Le Lac Rose
It lies north of the Cap Vert peninsula of Senegal and is named for its pink waters caused by Dunaliella salina algae and is known for its high salt content, up to 40% in some areas.
Its colour is especially visible during the dry season (which lasts from November to June) and less during the rainy season (July-October).
